Garrison man arrested for threatening to kill a victim with a knife

Cortlandt, New York – On January 5, 2018, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Richard H. Stiehl, age 57, of Garrison, NY, for Menacing in the 2nddegree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, both class A misdemeanors.

On January 5, 2018, Troopers were called to the Cortlandt Train Station at 6:05 p.m., for a report of a male brandishing a knife.  An investigation found that Stiehl initiated a confrontation, produced a knife, and threatened to kill the victim.

Stiehl was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and released on his own recognizance.
