Bridgeport Connecticut woman arrested for gun possession in Pleasant Valley

PRESS RELEASE

 

Pleasant Valley, New York – On January 2, 2018 the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Yajaira Berrios, age 36, of Bridgeport, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

On January 2, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Troopers stopped Berrios for a vehicle and traffic law violation.  Investigation found Berrios was in illegal possession of a Ruger 9e semiautomatic pistol.

Berrios was arraigned before the town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000.00 bond.  Berrios is next scheduled to appear before the court on January 23, 2018, at 5:30 p.m.
