William E. Simmons, 76, a resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at The Grand in Pawling, NY.
Born in Peekskill, NY on January 30, 1941, he served 20 years in the US Army, from 1959-1979, serving in Korea and receiving a Purple Heart.
After his discharge, he became an insurance salesman for Landmark Insurance in Peekskill.
He is survived by his good friends and neighbors, Frank Turner and Mary Murphy of Wingdale.
Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
