The State Police in Monroe arrested Sarah Jimenez, age 33 of Hazelton, PA, and Mykell Gray, age 37 of Yonkers, NY for drug possession following a traffic stop in the Town of Monroe.

On December 23, 2017 at approximately 1:10 AM, Troopers stopped a vehicle on State Route 17 in the Town of Monroe for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  While speaking with the driver, Troopers detected an ordor of marijuana from inside the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle, Mykell Gray, was found to be in possession of marijuana and charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Fifth Degree (B Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation).

The passanger, Sarah Jimenez, was found to be in possession of a large quantity of MDMA (ecstasy), narcotic pills (not prescribed to her), and marijuana.  Jimenez was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (A Felony, hallucinogenic substance), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B Felony, intent to sell), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (A Misdemeanor, narcotic pills), and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation).

Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Monroe Court.  Mykell Gray was remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail while Sarah Jimenez was remanded without bail both both pending further court proceedings.
