North Salem, New York – On December 13, 2017 the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Alejandro Sanchez, age 17, of White Plains, NY, for Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, a class E felony, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, all class A misdemeanors.

Troopers responded to the Shell Gas Station at 590 Route 22 in the town of North Salem for a domestic dispute called in by the station attendant.  Investigation found Sanchez picked up the victim in the town of Southeast and a domestic dispute ensued in the vehicle.  The victim attempted to call 911 for help at which time Sanchez took the phone to prevent police assistance.  The victim was able to escape the vehicle, run to the nearby gas station, and alert the attendant.  Sanchez fled with the phone but was later located and arrested.

Sanchez was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $500
