Stanford woman arrested following domestic dispute

Stanford, New York – On December 15, 2017 the New York State Police from the Pou ghkeepsie barracks arrested Tania M. Rivas, age 43, of Stanford, for Assault in the 2nddegree, a class D felony.

Troopers responded to a domestic dispute on Woods Drive in the town of Stanford on December 15, 2017, at approximately 2:00 a.m.  Investigation found that Rivas engaged in a domestic dispute with her partner and physically assaulted the victim.  Rivas struck the victim with a closed fist causing a laceration above an eye and threw a vase at the victim causing a head laceration.

Rivas was arraigned before the town of Stanford Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.
