Beekman, New York – On November 1, 2017 the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Daria E. Murtagh, age 38, of Poughkeepsie, NY, for Forgery in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony.

Troopers responded to a complaint of a stolen check in Chelsea Cove in the Town of Beekman.  Investigation by the State Police determined Murtagh fraudulently forged the complaint’s signature and then cashed the check totaling $1,100.75 at Wells Fargo Bank in Poughkeepsie.

Murtagh was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Beekman Justice Court on November 9, 2017, at 6:00 PM.
