Southeast, New York – On October 23, 2017, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Jose G. Rosado, age 21, of Waterbury, CT, for Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Obstructing a Government Official, all Class A Misdemeanors, Reckless Endangerment of Property, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Driving While Intoxicated.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., Troopers were monitoring traffic on Interstate 84 in the Town of Southeast.  A Honda sedan was observed on I-84 traveling in excess of 110 miles per hour.  Troopers attempted to initiate a vehicle and traffic stop on the speeding vehicle, but the suspect failed to observed the police vehicle’s emergency lights and sirens.  The Honda, operated by Rosado, led Troopers on a chase that ended on Old Mine Road.  While Troopers attempted to place the suspect in custody, he physically resisted arrest.

Rosado was arraigned before the Town of Patterson Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.  Rosado is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Southeast Justice Court on November 16, 2017, at 1:00 PM.
