Lake George woman arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into correctional facility

Fishkill, New York – On October 21, 2017 the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Ashlee Koehler, age 30, of Lake George, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5^th Degree, and Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1^stDegree, both Class D Felonies.

State Police were notified by the Downstate Correctional Facility in the Town of Fishkill of a suspect attempting to smuggle drugs into the facility.  Koehler was found in possession of approximately eight Suboxone pills.

Koehler was arraigned before the Town of Fishkill Justice Court and released on her own recognizance to reappear before the Court on November 21, 2017, at 9:00 AM.
