SP Kinderhook – Kinderhook man arrested after Domestic Incident

Kinderhook, New York – On September 18, 2017, Troopers from the Kinderhook barracks arrested Kristopher V. Winne, age 36, of Kinderhook for Assault in the 3rd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, a Class A Misdemeanor following a domestic incident.

Columbia County 911 dispatched Troopers to the trailer park at 3471 Route 9 in Kinderhook for a domestic incident.  Troopers interviewed and provided medical assistance to the victim who had fled the residence.  Troopers then interviewed and subsequently arrested Winne for obstructing the breathing airway, using his arm to cut off circulation, and striking the victim multiple times with a closed fist.  Troopers were assisted on scene by the Valatie Rescue Squad.

Winne arraigned by the Town of Stuyvesant Justice Court and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1000 property bond.
