Pleasant Valley, New York – On August 1, 2017, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 69-year-old Leo O. Baltazar, of Beekman, New York, for Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class E Felony.

Baltazar was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.  In April of 2017, Baltazar arrived at Troop K Headquarters and provided police with computer equipment from his home that revealed numerous pornographic images depicting children. On August 1, 2017, a search warrant was executed on the defendant’s Town of Beekman home where additional computer equipment was seized for an evaluation.

Baltazar was arraigned before Judge Sears in the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

ICAC is a multiagency task force that combats the sexual exploitation of children via the internet.
