Wassaic man arrested upstate on two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance

 

 

RENSSELAER COUNTY — The New York State Police, Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office and Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office announce the arrest of 19 individuals at Fractalfest.

Between July 27 and Aug. 1, law enforcement made several felony drug arrests, and seized drugs, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Among the drugs collected were cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, doses of LSD, Ketamine, MDMA pills, marijuana and prescription pills.

Rensselaer County District Attorney Joel Abelove said, “These arrests demonstrate our strong commitment to combating the presence of illegal narcotics in Rensselaer County. Prosecuting those who distribute dangerous drugs in our communities remains a priority of my office, and we will continue to coordinate with our law enforcement partners to keep these drugs off our streets.”

Adam D. Cook, 30, of Wassaic, was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree.

Law enforcement agencies involved in the operation included New York State Police, including Community Narcotics Enforcement Team-Capital, Troop G Uniform and BCI members, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office and the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department.
