State Police charge Wappingers Falls man with unlawful surveillance

Wappinger, New York – On July 20, 2017, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Michael P. Kelly, age 54, of Wappingers Falls, New York, for three counts of Unlawful Surveillance in the Second Degree, a Class E Felony.

The arrest stems from an incident reported to police in March of 2017.  The defendant is accused of setting up cameras in his home to record nude images of victims, who had a reasonable expectation of privacy.

Kelly was arrested on March 20, 2017 for Unlawful Surveillance in the Second Degree, a Class E Felony.  Subsequent to the execution of a search warrant at his home, Kelly’s computer equipment was seized and evaluated.  Three additional victims were identified and Kelly was charged accordingly.

Kelly was arraigned at the Town of Wappinger Court. His next appearance was scheduled for October 5, 2017, at 5:30 p.m.
