An investigation revealed that Hinds was in possession of forged $1,000 checks that had been drawn on a New York City man’s bank account.  Hinds attempted to cash the forged checks on July 10, 2017 at Citibank locations in Yorktown and in Cortlandt. An alert bank employee contacted the State Police when Hinds attempted to cash a fraudulent check at the Cortlandt Citibank Branch.

Hinds was arraigned by Honorable Gerald Klein at the Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or bond.   Hinds was directed to reappear in the Town of Cortlandt and Yorktown  courts on July 13, 2017.
