On July 9th, 2017, the New York State Police arrested?DERICK ALVAREZ, age 20, of Bronx, New York for Promoting Prison Contraband 1stCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th(a class A Misdemeanor).
The New York State Police conducted an investigation into ALVAREZ’S activities after a New York State Police K9 Officer and New York State Department of Corrections K9 Officers found ALVAREZ in possession of a controlled substance(suboxone) and synthetic marihuana when he entered Greene Correctional Facility to visit an inmate.
ALVAREZ was arraigned in the Town of Coxsackie Court before Town Justice Dorpfeld and was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $20,000.00 cash bail or $40,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Coxsackie Court on 7/13/17 at 1:30pm.
