Clermont woman charged with failing to provide proper sustenance to animals

PRESS RELEASE

Clermont, New York – On July 4, 2017, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested 55-year-old Andrea Nussinow, of Clermont, New York, for 11 counts of failure to provide proper sustenance to animals under the Agriculture and Markets Law.

Nussinow, the owner and operator of Blue Star Farm, is accused of failing to provide water to several animals on her farm.  Several horses, evaluated by a veterinarian, were determined to be emaciated and in poor health.The State Police were assisted by the Columbia-Greene Human Society/SPCA.

Nussinow was issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear in the Town of Clermont Court on July 13, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
