Wurtsboro Man Arrested for Criminal Sex Act

The New York State Police Troop F Child Abuse Unit in conjunction with the Orange and Sullivan County Child Protective Services announce the arrest of Matthew Hassenmayer, age 26, from Wurtsboro, NY for the charges of Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, Possession of Obscene Performance of a Child and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Hassenmayer did have sexual contact with a girl under the age of 11. 

Hassenmayer was arrested at the State Police Barracks in Wurtsboro and arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court before Justice Cynthia Dolan.  He was remanded to Sullivan County Jail in Lieu of $100, 000.00 bail and ordered to return on May 11^th, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
