State Police at Liberty Arrest Roscoe Man for Commercial Burglaries

PRESS RELEASE

On March 10, 2015 State Police at Liberty arrested a Roscoe man after an investigation into the burglaries of 2 local businesses. On January 18, 2015 State Police responded to the Medicine Shoppe located on Stewart Ave after it was reported that someone had broken in and removed several thousand prescription painkillers. On that same date, it was reported that someone had broken into the Napa Auto Parts store located on Cottage St and removed cash. On March 9th, 2015 Troopers responded to the Medicine Shoppe again for another reported burglary during which several thousand additional narcotic painkillers were removed. An investigation determined that Shane Duquette, age 23 of Roscoe was responsible for all three burglaries. He was arrested by members of the State Police BCI. As a result of the investigation, several pounds of prescription painkillers were recovered. These included such drugs as Morphine, Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Percoset, and Methadone.

Duquette was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree and 3 counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, felonies. He was arraigned in the Town of Callicoon Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with no bail set.
