PRESS RELEASE

On March 10, 2015 the New York State Police at Kingston report the arrest of IMANI R. YOUNG age 19 of Brooklyn, NY and KNOXANN BENJAMIN age 19 of Brooklyn, NY for Possession Forged Instrument 2nd degree ( D-Felony) and Petit Larceny ( A-Misdemeanor).
On February 1, 2015 Troopers from the SP Kingston Barracks investigated the report of two female subjects that used fraudulent American Express Travelers Checks at the Target Store in the Hudson Valley Mall in the Town of Ulster. The female suspects made small clothing purchases and used the fraudulent travelers checks to pay for the items receiving cash currency as change for the $100.00 travelers checks used for the purchases.

With the assistance of the Target Store loss prevention team and the New York State Police Brooklyn Criminal Squad, the two female suspects were identified and apprehended in Brooklyn, NY. Both YOUNG and BENJAMIN were arrested and charged with Possession of Forged Instrument 2nd degree and Petit Larceny. Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and released on their own recognizance and ordered to reappear at a later date.
