Verplanck man charged with sexually abusing teen

Verplanck, New York – On April 22, 2017, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested 56-year-old Kenneth Brody, of Verplanck, New York, for three counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.

On April 21, 2017, Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks partnered with the Westchester County Child Advocacy Center to investigate a sexual offense reported to the State Police.  Subsequent to a detailed investigation, it was discovered that Brody, currently a level 2 sex offender, subjected a teenage boy under the age of 15 to sexual contact on several occasions in the Town of Cortlandt.

Brody was arraigned in the Cortlandt Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
