The Crossroads Equestrian Center Wraps IEA Regional Finals Championship

 

 

Sunday, March 6, Bronxville, NY – The Crossroads Equestrian Center’s Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) show team rode to the top of the standings as the IEA Zone 2, Region 5/12 Middle School Champions. The Crossroads was one of 11 teams to qualify for post-season competition, where they faced the top riders from two combined regions and secured a position at IEA Zone 2 Finals which will take place March 24-26 in Buffalo, NY. In the three-day competition at Zone 2 Finals they will come up against 17 teams representing three states – New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, all vying for a spot at IEA National Finals in April at the Virginia Horse Park, Lexington, VA. Team member, Baylee McKeever, from Brewster, NY had a spectacular ride in the individual competition and earned her place in IEA Zone 2 Individual Finals with a first place win over fences and a second place win under saddle. The Crossroads Equestrian Center has sent riders to individual competition in Zone 2 Finals every year since the team’s inception, and last year, team member Seraphina Morreale from Poughquag, NY went all the way to IEA National Finals. The Crossroads Equestrian Center IEA Team is based out of Brewster, NY and is coached by barn owner, Jan Golash, and assistant trainer, Jessica Schwab.
