State Police from Poughkeepsie arrest former Staatsburg man for burglary

PRESS RELEASE
Clinton, New York – On February 7, 2017, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 27-year-old Matthew A. McDonald, formerly of Staatsburg, New York, for Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony.

On November 10, 2016, Troopers were dispatched to investigate a residential burglary that occurred on Salt Point Turnpike.  An investigation revealed that the suspect unlawfully entered the complainant’s home and stole jewelry.

McDonald was arraigned before Judge Tomkins of the Town of Clinton Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash bail or $5000 bond.  The defendant is scheduled to return to the Town of Clinton Court on February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
