Dobbs Ferry – Sr. Marion Halpin, SC (Marion B. Halpin) (1917-2017) died at Cabrini of Westchester, Dobbs Ferry on January 9, 2017. She entered the Sisters of Charity of New York on February 1, 1941. Sr. Marion taught at St. Agnes & St. Patrick, Manhattan; St. Barnabas & Sts. Peter & Paul, Bronx; ministered at New York Foundling Hospital & Catholic Charities Manhattan; College of Mt. St. Vincent, Bronx and St. John the Evangelist Parish, Pawling.
She is survived by her devoted grand niece, Kathy Smaltz, her family and the Sisters of Charity with whom she has shared life for 76 years.
Wake: Jan. 13; 2-6:30pm with prayer vigil at 4:30pm
Mass: Jan. 14 at 10am. Both wake and mass at Mt. St. Vincent Convent, Bronx, NY
Burial: St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens
