Emma Jenks of Millerton has been awarded a $14,560 “Presidential Scholarship” to attend Alfred State

 

ALFRED, NY, January 2017 – Emma Jenks of Millerton has been awarded a $14,560 “Presidential Scholarship” to attend Alfred State.

Emma Jenks of Millerton is slated to graduate in 2017 from Upton Lake Christian School and intends to enroll in the agricultural business (AAS) program.

The “Presidential Scholarship” (free room {standard room, double occupancy}) is awarded to students who possess a 91 or better cumulative high school average through their junior year and who have achieved a 1270 combined reading/writing and math new SAT (1200 combined critical reading and math old SAT) or a composite ACT score of 26.  Recipients must maintain a required grade point average to continue to receive free room in subsequent semesters.

Fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Alfred State offers some 49 associate degree programs, 23 baccalaureate degree programs, and two certificate programs.
