Sophie McGhee from Pine Plains spent the Fall 2016 Semester at Bard Globalization and International Affairs (BGIA) Program in New York City

GREAT BARRINGTON, MA (01/04/2017)– Sophie McGhee, a 20-year-old junior from Pine Plains, NY concentrating in Psychology and Non-Profit Studies spent the Fall 2016 Semester at Bard Globalization and International Affairs (BGIA) Program in New York City as part of the Bard College at Simon’s Rock Study Away Program.

McGhee attended Stissing Mountain Senior High School before leaving after 11th grade to enter college early.

Each year, Bard College at Simon’s Rock provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit and travel around the world. The Study Abroad and Partner Programs expose students to a consortium of influential thinkers in their field of interest. The programs include Foreign and Domestic Signature Programs, and semester or year-long programs through the Bard College Network.
