Underage Drinking Initiative in Ulster County Results in Two Arrests

PRESS RELEASE

On Wednesday December 28, 2016 the State Police at Kingston conducted an underage drinking initiative which targeted the sale of alcohol to minors.  Undercover state police operatives attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages from 12 establishments in the Ulster County towns of Saugerties and Ulster.  Two arrests were made during the detail.

The following individuals were charged with the Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under 21 which is a violation of the Alcohol Beverage Control Law:

Theresa A. Ebersole – Kingston, NY
Establishment – Big Belly Deli – 3981 SR 32 Saugerties

Asif T. Khan, Lake Katrine, NY
Establishment – Lucky Food Mart Sunoco – 131 Ulster Avenue Saugerties

Ebersole was given an appearance ticket at the scene returnable to the Town of Saugerties Court on 01/11/17 at 7:00pm.   Khan was given an appearance ticket at the scene returnable to the Village of Saugerties Court on 01/09/17 at 6:00pm.
