Danielle Franklin of Poughquag Elected to the SUNY New Paltz Student Senate

NEW PALTZ, NY (12/29/2016)– Danielle Franklin of Poughquag, N.Y. has been elected to the Student Senate at SUNY New Paltz for the 2016-2017 academic year.

The Student Association (SA) is the primary representative and governing body of New Paltz students. Senators are responsible for representing the student body and communicating between the executive board and general public.

SA manages all recognized student clubs and organizations on campus. It provides legal services, allocates money for students to attend conferences to further their education, and funds all extracurricular activities on campus and outside venues. The Student Association also advocates for and represents student concerns in order to serve the SUNY New Paltz community.
