New Windsor resident charged with Bail Jumping

Fishkill, New York – On December 22, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger Barracks arrested Venus L. Worthy, age 42, of New Windsor, New York, for Bail Jumping in the Second Degree, a Class E Felony.

Worthy was arrested in 2011 for Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, and Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, both Felonies, subsequent to an investigation that she fraudulently took over $13,000 in unemployment benefits.

A bench warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to appear for court proceedings in 2012.

Worthy was arraigned at the Town of Fishkill Court, and she was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. Her next appearance was scheduled for December 28, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Town of Fishkill Court.
