Myrtle Beach – Sylvia Greer Love, wife of the late Harry J. Love, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Myrtle Beach.
She was born December 23, 1929 in Orange County, NY a daughter of the late James and Whilemina McMaster Greer, formerly of Northern Ireland. She was also preceded in death by her older brothers, Samuel Greer and Hubert Greer, as well as a number of relatives in Northern Ireland.
Ms. Love graduated from Millbrook Memorial High School, Millbrook, NY in 1948 and was a graduate of Barbizon Modeling School in New York City.
She and her mother were survivors of the S.S. Athenia, a British passenger liner which was torpedoed September, 1939, the first passenger vessel sunk by Germany in World War ll.
Ms. Love was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, and belonged to Pine Lakes Country Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
