State Police arrest Catskill man for reckless endangerment and other charges

On December 4th, 2016 the New York State Police at Catskill arrested Shawn O’Neil, age 38, of Catskill, NY for two counts of Reckless Endangerment 2nd, one count of Assault 3rdand one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, all Class A Misdemeanors.

On December 4th, 2016, numerous New York State Police Units responded to a residence in the Town of Catskill after a subject called 911 to report an assault with weapons. It is alleged that O’Neil fired one round from a handgun inside the house and then physically assaulted another male subject inside the residence. Additionally, O’Neil was found to possess a small quantity of Steroids.

O’Neil was arraigned on the charges by the Village of Catskill Justice Katherine Izzo and the subject was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu $5000 cash or a $10,000 bond. O’Neil was ordered to appear in the Town of Catskill Court at a later date.
