Amenia – Stephenson Boone Andrews, 57, of New York City and Amenia, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 3, 2016, after a four-year-long courageous battle with cancer. Steve was born May 22, 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, the U.S. Capitol Page School in Washington, D.C. and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. A private art curator and lover of world travel, the theater and British royal history, Steve believed there were no strangers in this world, just friends he hadn’t met yet. He followed his own path in life, and he will be remembered for living life to the fullest, always bringing the party with him. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Lifty Joseph and Mabel (nee Boone) Abraham and a brother, Joseph Calvin Abraham. He is survived by his loving husband, Terence David Cook of Amenia; brothers, Mitchell Abraham of Charleston and David Abraham of Roanoke, VA; a “sister”, Candice Abraham of Las Vegas; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and several god children. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 40 Leedsville Road, Amenia, NY 12501. Rev. Betsy Fisher will officiate. A global memorial service is pending.
