On 12/3/2016, Troopers from the Dover Plains barracks responded to a burglary in progress on Undermountain Road, Town of Amenia. When Troopers arrived on scene they were met by the owner of the property who reported to the Troopers that he had observed two individuals inside a building, while hearing loud banging sounds coming from the interior.

Troopers observed suspect, Paul Reed, walking from the building upon arrival. Subsequently, the second suspect, Stephanie Baker-Papierowicz  , was observed exiting the building.

A check of the interior of the building showed that a side entrance window had been broken to gain entry. Damage was observed throughout the interior to include intentional water damage, from clogging drains and running water, to hardwood floors and carving of letters in to various walls on the first level.

Both defendants were subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary in the 3rdDegree. They were arraigned before the Honorable Judge Norman Moore of the Town of Amenia Court. Both defendants were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2500 cash bail or $5000 bond.
