Monticello man arrested for rape of a child

The Sullivan County Family Violence Unit, in conjunction with SP Liberty BCI, did arrest Leon Fountain, age 35 of Monticello, for Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree (Class B Felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor).  Fountain did engage in sexual acts with a child less than thirteen years old over an extended period of time.  Fountain was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail pending a future court appearance.
