MILLBROOK – Grace B. Fellows, 95 of Millbrook, passed away peacefully at her residence in Millbrook on Sunday, October 30, 2016.

Born in the Bronx on February 23,1921, she was the daughter of William and Pauline Oheimer Kuehner.

Grace received her BS from Hunter College, an MS from New York University, and graduated from Yale University School of Nursing in 1945. She served her country with the US Army during WW-II as a nurse. Following the war Grace worked at Yale New Haven Hospital, New York Hospital and Mt Vernon Hospital, and taught surgical nursing at Syracuse University.

In 1953 in Scarsdale, Grace married Edwin J. Fellows who survives at home. She dedicated herself to her family and her church, including many years singing in the choir. She was also a longtime volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank. She enjoyed summers at the family cottage in Mill Rift, PA, and extensive travels with her husband.

In addition to her husband Edwin, she is survived by her 2 children; daughter Carolyn F. Hagan and her husband Gerard T. Hagan; her son, William T. Fellows; and her 3 grandchildren, G. Thomas Hagan, Emma E. Hagan and Rachel C. Hagan. Grace was predeceased by her sister, Violet K. Munnich.

A memorial celebration of Grace’s life will be held at a later date.
