THE VILLAGE OF MILLERTON BLACK FRIDAY CELEBRATION SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25
The village of Millerton, NY is THE place to be this Black Friday, November 25. There’s a whole host of fun activities for families planned, plus great shopping and dining. Ditch the mall and come kick start your holidays in style.
10:00 am: The Moviehouse, 48 Main Street. FREE community screening of the holiday classic HOME ALONE, with treats and giveaways. Sponsored by Salisbury Bank & The Moviehouse. Tickets not required. Doors open at 9:30 am
10:00 am-2:00 pm: Millerton Farmers Market : Kids Activities / Crafts & Face Painting at the Millerton Methodist Church
11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Black Friday Book Giveaway! Memorial Park
The Northeast-Millerton Library will be handing out free books. (Weather permitting and while supplies last.)
12:00 pm: Free Horse & Carriage Rides through the village begin, departing across from The Moviehouse on Main Street.
To keep everyone in the mood, a live brass band will play holiday favorites throughout the village during the day. Sponsored by Hathaway Young and Jennings & Rohn Montage.5:00 pm: Tree Lighting by Millerton’s Mayor – Martin Markonic
In addition to the new Main Street lights installed last year, this year Townscape has added lights to the two large trees in front of Hathaway-Young on South Center Street, and to 4 permanent trees at Salisbury Bank, on the corner of Main Street & Maple Avenue!
5:30 pm: Millerton Fire Department’s annual Parade of Lights
After the Parade: Community Holiday Party with Santa at the Millerton Fire House with a delicious spread, donated by the local restaurants and members of the Fire Department and gifts for all the children who visit Santa!
