United Way Volunteers Make a Difference at the Pawling Resource Center

006

A group of 10 volunteers from United Way donated their time and energy to the Pawling Resource Center on Saturday, November 5th. John Brockway, Pawling Resource Center Property Committee Chairman, provided an organized list of tasks  which the volunteers cheerfully finished off in less than 3 hours. They spread gravel, hung the new PRC banner, did outdoor repair work on the steps and foundation, trimmed forsythia, planted bulbs and spread mulch.   Several volunteers were stationed inside cleaning medical equipment and wrapping gifts.  Many in attendance were part of the Youth Leadership group of United Way, who regularly donate time to not-for-profit organizations.with the goal of providing assistance wherever the need arises. Some volunteers traveled from Fishkill, Hyde Park and Somers to participate in this day of service.
