Adrienne Margaret Cook, a long-time resident of Pawling, NY passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Putnam Ridge, Brewster, NY; she was 97.

Born in Manhattan on June 5, 1919, she was the daughter of Oscar and Barbara (Gessner) Weiss.

Before retiring, Adrienne worked at Newsday in Long Island as a teletype setter.

Adrienne was a communicant of St. John’s Church, Pawling and a member of the Catholic Daughters.

She is predeceased by her husband, Frank George Cook, who passed away on November 22, 1969.

Adrienne was a loving mother and grandmother to her three sons, Bruce (Anne) of Yarmouth Port, MA, Jay (Nancy) of Naples, FL, and Peter of Grand Blanc, MI; her two daughters, Ann (Paul) Sola of Poughkeepsie, NY and Barbara (Dennis) Keeler of Ocala, FL; and her 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Wednesday, November 16th 2-4 and 6-8 PM; Catholic Daughters will conduct a service at 2 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling, NY.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Salem, NY.
