Hyde Park – Maralyn L. Marshall passed away peacefully on October 29, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.

Maralyn was born on August 7, 1939 in Canaan, CT to the late Chester Dean and Mary Liner. She married Ernest J. Marshall on August 30, 1958 in Millerton, NY who predeceased her in 2012.

Maralyn graduated from Millerton School in Millerton, NY and Beauty School in Newburgh, NY. As a young girl growing up in Millerton she often rode her horse to town and marched and twirled her baton leading the town parades. Maralyn had so much fun farming raising animals and vacationing at the beach with close friends.

Maralyn owned and operated 22 Junk-A’tique in Millerton, NY since 1974. She and husband Ernie owned and operated 44 Auction Market in Poughkeepsie, NY for 6 years. Maralyn had a keen eye for antiques and anything unusual. She loved her dogs especially her Jack Russell Terriers. She enjoyed the outdoors, cabin up north, planting and tending her flower gardens.

Maralyn is survived by sons Michael W Marshall (Melinda) of Decatur, NY their children Jonathan, Tyler and Amanda Winters of Hyde Park, NY and Ernest J Marshall (Susan) of Hyde Park, NY their children Kimberly, Kaylia, Timothy and Steven a daughter Cinthia A Hawks (Bryan) of Amenia, NY their children Madison, Bryar and Hunter brothers Richard Dean (Carol) of Millerton, NY Jack Dean (Monika) of Millerton, NY Alan Gary Dean (Judy) of Wellsboro, PA 8 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial services to be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.

Donations can be made in Maralyn’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .
