Pawling, New York – On November 7, 2016, New York State Police from the Dover barracks were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 for a reported two-car auto collision with entrapment that occurred on State Route 22 in Pawling.

An investigation revealed that Jordan M. Iovino, age 25, of Kent, Connecticut, was traveling north on Route 22.  A USPS mail truck, operated by Michael Renzo, age 49, of Hyde Park was stopped in the northbound lane waiting to make a left turn on to Hurds Corner Road.  Iovino reportedly struck the rear quarter panel of the mail truck and exited the roadway striking a tree on the northbound shoulder.

Pawling Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported Iovino to Danbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Renzo declined medical attention at the scene of the crash.
