Ancram woman charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated

Taghkanic, New York – On February 27, 2015, New York State Police arrested Wendy Waffle, 48 years old of Ancram, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers observed a vehicle stopped in the parking lot of the West Taghkanic Diner, which was closed. They exited the patrol vehicle to interview the driver of the suspicious vehicle who identified herself as Waffle. While speaking with Waffle, Troopers noted clues that indicated she was intoxicated.

Waffle supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .21%, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication. Waffle was released with traffic tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Taghkanic Court on March 5, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
