PRESS RELEASE

New York State Police at Highland report the arrest of Tony Wallace, age 44 of Wallkill, NY, and David Newman, age 45 of Wallkill, NY. Both men were charged with Grand Larceny in the Third degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second degree and multiple counts of Criminal Tampering in the Second degree.

While working as subcontractors for Time warner cable the two men stole back up batteries from multiple sites across Ulster County. They stole the batteries from utility poles damaged wiring in the process.

Wallace and Newman were arraigned before Town of Plattekill Justice Murphy. Wallace was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $20,000.00 cash and $40,000.00 bond.  Newman was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $25,000.00 cash and $50,000.00 bond.
