Sandy Spicer of Holmes Presents Research at Siena College Symposium

LOUDONVILLE, NY (10/07/2016)– Sandy Spicer of Holmes (12531) participated in the annual Siena College CURCA Summer Research Symposium. Siena’s Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (CURCA) allows students of all majors to engage in hands-on learning through research and other scholarship opportunities. Siena students gain an advantage due to the experience and exposure this program provides.

Sandy’s summer research was, “Investigating Gas-stripping in Abell 1367 using H-alpha Imaging,” as well as “Probing Star-Formation Rates and the Galactic Enviroment in MKW11 and NRGb004,” and “Catalog Matching of Astronomic Data.”
