Poughkeepsie – Joan Anderson Christopher Emich, 86, went to Heaven on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck, NY. Joan was born on January 29, 1930 in Brewster, NY to Olga Bloss and Charles Anderson. She was an administrative secretary in the Pawling and Wappingers School Districts.
Joan was predeceased by her first husband, August “Chris” Christopher. On January 6, 2001, she married Herbert Emich who survives at home. She is also survived by a son, Charles Christopher of Utah.
We wish to thank our “family” at the Baptist Home for all the care and love they showered on Joan. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Joan’s ashes will be scattered in the ocean near Hawaii at the convenience of the family.
