State Police arrest Cairo man for Endangering a Child and other charges

On September 20th, 2016 the New York State Police at Catskill ?arrested DANNY RAY HATFIELD, age 47, of Cairo, NY, for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (both Class A Misdemeanors), Menacing in the 3rdDegree (class B Misdemeanor), and Harassment 2nd (a Violation).
The arrest was the result of an investigation into a domestic dispute at a private residence in the Town of Cairo that involved HATFIELD. During the domestic dispute, it is alleged that HATFIELD grabbed the victim’s neck, obstructing her breathing, while the victim was holding a 1 month old baby. HATFIELD was arraigned before Town Justice Miller in the Town of Cairo Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail on $500.00 Cash Bail or $1,000.00 Secured Bond.
