Doris R. Delahanty, 93 of Stanfordville, NY passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2016. Born February 14, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Ruth Hanlon. She married her husband Robert Delahanty on September 15, 1951 at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Brooklyn NY. Robert her husband predeceased her as well as her four brothers Charlie, Jack, Joe, Richard, and Donald. Doris is survived by her son’s and their wives Dan & Linda, Tim & Debbie, Michael & Barbara, Kevin & Susan, and her ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as a vast number of nieces and nephews who cared for her greatly as the family always remained close. Also surviving her a sister Louise Ehrlich and a brother George Hanlon. Especially to note her grandson Dylan Delahanty who grew up under the loving embrace of his grandmother. Doris’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. The love she had for her family is her greatest legacy.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at  3270 Franklin Avenue, Millbrook, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Msgr. Colacicco, Friday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 15 North Avenue, Millbrook. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, P.O. Box 439, Millbrook, NY 12545.
