09/19/16 – The New York State Police – Montgomery BCI announce the arrest of 29 year old, Roy A. Francis Jr., of Newburgh, NY, and 29 year old Amanda Ortiz of Bronx, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (a class D felony) and Seventh Degree (a class A misdemeanor).

On 09/17/16, subsequent to vehicle and traffic stop conducted by SP Montgomery patrols, which occurred on Interstate 84 in the Town of Montgomery, NY, a small quantity of crack/cocaine and heroin in the glove compartment in the vehicle which was occupied by both Roy A. Francis Jr. and Amanda Ortiz.

Roy A. Francis Jr. and Amanda Ortiz were arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and were subsequently remanded to Orange County Jail on bail (Ortiz on $5,000cash/$10,000 bond – Francis on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond). Both subjects are due back in the Town of Montgomery Court on 09/21/
