Julia Mae Douglas, 87, beloved wife of the late William Douglas, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sep. 8, 2016. She was born in Dover Plains, Dutchess County, NY, on Jan. 19, 1929 to the late Julius Johnson and Rosetta Douglas. Julia is survived by children Patricia Douglas-Robinson, Aneesah Akram, Sharon Douglas, William Douglas, Jr., step children Latifah Akram, Wayne Douglas-Smalls, Bishop Timothy Lucky, Trenda Lucky, 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Thomas Chapel Church of Christ, 30 White St., New Haven on Sat., Sept. 17 at 8:00 a.m. for viewing and services to begin at 9:00 a.m. Viewing for friends and family is Friday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The McClam Chapel, 95 Dixwell Ave. New Haven,CT 06511.
