State Police investigate identity theft case in Cortlandt

Cortlandt, New York – New York State Police from the Cortlandt Bureau of Criminal Investigation are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify a female subject wanted for questioning.

In July of 2016, Troopers were advised of fraudulent Kohl’s credit card purchases made in the Cortlandt Kohl’s Department Store.  The victim, who is from Illinois, reports that someone fraudulently charged over $900 on their Kohl’s card in June of 2016.

An investigation conducted by the State Police revealed that the suspect is described as a 5’6” tall black female, weighing approximately 130 pounds, and is possibly 20 to 30 years of age.  She has an tattoo on her chest.
