Cortlandt, New York – On September 8, 2016 at approximately 2:34 p.m., the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks responded to the Cortlandt Town Center for a reported robbery.

When police arrived on scene, they interviewed the 93-year-old victim who reported that she had parked in front of Old Navy in the handicapped parking area.  She placed her purse on the passenger seat and a thin white male with a goatee, in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a white t-shirt, and black hat, approached the driver side of her vehicle.  The suspect demanded that she turn over her wallet and the victim refused to comply.  The suspect then reached across the victim, removed an undisclosed amount of cash from her wallet, and fled in a northerly direction.

State Police K9 Lane conducted a track to locate the suspect but was unsuccessful.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the State Police in Cortlandt by calling 914-788-8044.
