September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month  the Webutuck Teachers’ Association and St. John in the Wilderness are co-hosting an important event for this cause. Please join us on Sunday, September 18th for a 5K to celebrate the life of Jacob Stickle and raise money for childhood cancer charities. Jacob is a former student of the Webutuck and Taconic Hills Schools who was diagnosed at the age of 4 with neuroblastoma. After a brave battle, he passed away on June 2, 2012 at the age of 9. Help us do everything we can to prevent another child or family from suffering a tragedy such as this. The 5K is a family friendly walk/run at beautiful St. John in the Wilderness, and is appropriate for serious runners and those who prefer to stroll. Registration begins at 10:15, and the 5K begins at 11:15. There is no entrance fee, but donations are appreciated and participants are encouraged to seek sponsors. All money raised will go towards childhood cancer charities (American Childhood Cancer Organization and Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley). Please join us, contact me for more information, and please share this event!  I have attached a flyer and sponsor form to use if you wish.

Gratefully
